TAKING CARE OF YOUR ALVICA PIECE
Our pieces are made with natural fabrics, 100% cotton or 100% silk, chosen for their beauty, breathability, and timeless quality. With the right care, they will remain part of your summer wardrobe for years to come.
WASHING
Hand-wash cotton in cool water, with mild soap, or use a delicate 30°C machine cycle, with low spin.
Silk should always be hand-washed in cold water with silk detergent. Never wrung or rubbed. Occasionally dry-cleaned for extra care.
Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, and softeners, and always turn embroidered pieces inside out to protect the stitches.

DRYING
Never tumble dry. Both cotton and silk prefer to air dry. Lay flat on a clean towel or hang in the shade, away from direct sunlight, which can fade colours and weaken fibres.
Avoid twisting or wringing the fabric, patience will preserve the natural drape.
IRONING
Cotton can be ironed on medium heat while slightly damp. For silk, use a cool setting inside out or with a cloth barrier. Steaming is the gentlest option for removing creases.
Embroidered pieces should always be ironed inside out or with a cloth and never directly on the stitches.
